The Start

We actually got started in January of 2008 and have been slowly getting things ready.

We got tired of living in the sub development, after my truck was broken into, so we purchased 11 acres in a more rural area and starting to build a home. It is nice, we can build our own home in SC, you just have to stay up to code and rest assured, it is checked very carefully. The building inspectors are great, they will let you know if you ask and purchasing a code book helped.

I had help from some friends for the beginning, then was more on my own. I did get some help from the family, it is still challenging without all the real tools. It is amazing how creative you can get when you are by yourself.

We are still building, so we will update on the construction process to begin with.
